Islands That Were Never There
Each publisher copied the last. The error survived because copying was cheaper than surveying. Nearly every prostate health article you will find online was produced by that same economy, and there are three questions that expose it.
A chart is worth what its survey was worth. These three are what we ask of ours, and what you should ask of us.
Every factual statement here traces to a specific, nameable document — a trial, a systematic review, a regulator's determination. Where we cannot point at one, we do not make the claim. Vague attribution to “studies” is how a phantom island gets copied forward.
Reading critically makes you harder to sell to. It does not make you your own physician, and no amount of source-checking substitutes for being examined. Anything about your own body belongs in a consultation, not in a browser tab.
We sell a guide, which makes us a commercial party with an interest. So: no affiliate arrangements, no commission from any manufacturer, no brand recommended anywhere, and the same three tests we teach applied to this site in writing. Ask them of us.
Scepticism about sources is not scepticism about medicine. Nothing here argues that clinicians or published research should be distrusted — the point is to tell those apart from the commercial layer that has grown on top of them. If you have noticed a change of any kind, that is a reason to be examined, not a reason to research further.
